Tom Moulton is a bit of a legend, he’s worked with Gloria Gaynor, Claudja Barry, and produced 3 Grace Jones Albums. Now he’s turned his hand to remixing Bombay Bicycle Club’s ‘Beg’. We’ve been given the exclusive download too. This track has some wonderful dynamics and the drum patterns are especially magnetic. Much of this remixes emphasis is placed on lead singer Jack Steadman’s vocals but its the phasing synths of the second half and the shifting arrangement that steals the show for me. Its something slightly different and bridges a nice gap between Bombay Bicycle Club and disco, I bet no-one saw it coming.
