Review by Matthew Crick

For his next project, the London-based DJ/Producer has teamed up with electronic visionaries More Music to release the label’s tenth EP, and with the single being just their third vinyl release, he’s joining a small but prestigious club, consisting of just Timo Mass and Midland. We say just, mind…Toby Tobias has certainly come some way since his heady and hazy rave days of the early nineties. In fact, his CV is fairly close to being environmentally unfriendly; presenting countless pages of notable productions for a host of labels, including Low Pressings, Bear Funk and Tiny Sticks (to name but a few), as well as amassing wide spread respect for his very own insignia, Tracky Bottoms. Toby is playing a gig on Friday the 22nd in East London, its cheap and alongside The Revenge its a no-brainer! CLICK HERE for details
Once securing the soulful services of Brendan Reilly, Toby Tobias was then able to invest sufficient time in not only crafting his own masterpiece, but also acquiring three other rising stars who could complete the constellation. With delectable reworks by Lee Foss and Bicep, we are rather taken by Zoo Look’s deep, dub version that nicely maintains the original’s low-slung disco identity. Simply put, the best of a very fine bunch.
